Christina Ricci to Voice Catwoman in ‘Batman: Caped Crusader’ 5

Matt Reeves‘ upcoming adult animated series Batman: Caped Crusader has just announced several key voice castings.

Hamish Linklater (Midnight Mass) will be voicing Batman/Bruce Wayne. Christina Ricci (Yellowjackets) will be voicing Catwoman/Selina Kyle. Jamie Chung (Stone Cold Fox) will be voicing Harley Quinn/Dr. Harleen Quinzel. And Diedrich Bader (Better Things) will be voicing Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

The production previously released first look photos of all the major roles along with character descriptions.

The Prime Video project has been billed as a dark and grown up take on the world of Gotham City, and here’s the official description: “Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the Batman. His one-man crusade attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.”

The series is from a team of genre super-producers, which include The Batman director Reeves, along with J.J. Abrams and Bruce Timm.

The show is from Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho.

The series will premiere all 10 episodes on Thursday, Aug. 1 on Prime Video.
