Naomie Harris admitted James Bond producers typically don’t tell her about upcoming sequels, as she’s not very good at keeping spoilers a secret.

The Oscar-nominated actress, who starred in three installments in the popular spy franchise, said on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show that while she misses being part of the James Bond universe, she has “no idea” about the franchise’s future.

“I don’t know what’s gonna happen for the next,” Harris confessed. “I don’t know where they’re going, what direction. I have absolutely no idea and I’m so glad that I don’t have any idea, otherwise, I’d slip up, so nobody tells me anything.”

The Moonlight actress said she’s convinced that producers “do think I’m the weak link ’cause I’m literally the last person to know any piece of information, which is terrible.”

Harris played Eve Moneypenny, opposite Daniel Craig‘s James Bond, in Skyfall (2012), Spectre (2015) and No Time to Die (2021).

“I will really miss it because as an actress, or an actor, and in this profession, you’re just kind of like a gypsy going around on your own constantly,” Harris added. “And for the first time, I had a sense of continuity going back to the same place to work with at Pinewood Studios, to work with the same team, and it’s a beautiful feeling to have that. So yeah, feel a bit lost without it, to be honest.”

Little has been announced about the future of the franchise, which will see another actor take over for Craig as the next 007. Franchise producer Barbara Broccoli told The Guardian last year that executives “haven’t even begun” to modernize the franchise yet, as it’s important for the titular character to reflect how the world has changed.

She added at the time, “I think these movies reflect the time they are in, and there’s a big, big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter.”
