Fake And Just Like That production notices are taking over New York City, leaving fans with several questions.
Fans have recently been finding fake filming notices for Max‘s Sex and the City reboot posted around the city and sharing them on social media. Many of them feature wild plot details about the third season, which is currently being filmed.
“After getting hit by a Citi Bike, Carrie retains Fletcher Reede (Jim Carrey) from Liar Liar as her lawyer,” one notice read, while another added, “Carries goes on a bad date with Mr. Bean (the character) and then accidentally sends him a nude.”
A third flyer shared online also included a fake storyline about Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) telling her friends at brunch that “she is Garfield the cat.”
Some fans have been confused about what’s going on and have taken their questions to social media. “WHO is making these fake And Just Like That filming notices,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter, while another person posted, “New season of sex and the city is gonna be wild.”
It wasn’t immediately clear who was responsible for the fake notices but The Hollywood Reporter has reached out to And Just Like That reps for comment.
Season three of the hit show is set to premiere in 2025. And Just Like That follows Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they navigate the complicated reality of love and friendship now in their 50s.
The next installment not only sees Parker, Nixon and Davis returning to the city but also several new faces including Rosie O’Donnell, Mehcad Brooks, Jonathan Cake and Logan Marshall-Green. It was previously announced that Sara Ramírez and Karen Pittman would not be returning for the new season.
