Jenna Coleman Investigates Missing Persons Case in ‘The Jetty’ Trailer 5

Jenna Coleman is Detective Ember Manning in the BBC’s newly released trailer for The Jetty.

The series, launching on BBC iPlayer and BBC One on July 15, sees the Doctor Who alum investigating a case that threatens to unravel threads of her past. After a fire tears through a property in a lakeside Lancashire town in England, Manning must work out how it connects to a podcast journalist investigating a missing persons cold case and an illicit relationship between a man in his twenties and two underage girls.

Created and written by Cat Jones and produced by Firebird Pictures for the BBC, the four-part mystery examines sexual morality, age of consent, grooming, identity and memory.

Alongside Coleman stars Archie Renaux (Shadow and BoneThe Greatest Beer Run) as Ember’s sidekick Hitch, with Laura Marcus (Bad EducationThe Great Escaper), Bo Bragason (The RadleysThree Girls), Amelia Bullmore (Gentleman JackVienna BloodHappy Valley) as Ember’s mother, Matthew McNulty (Deadwater Fell, The Rising), Weruche Opia (I May Destroy You), Tom Glynn-Carney (House of the Dragon, Dunkirk), Ralph Ineson (NosferatuThe Witch), Ruby Stokes (Lockwood & Co., The Burning Girls) and David Ajala (Star Trek: Discovery), among others. 

The Jetty is executive produced by Coleman, Elizabeth Kilgarriff of Firebird, of which BBC Studios acquired full ownership in 2022, Sarah Wyatt, Jones, Marialy Rivas and Jo McClellan.

The Jetty is directed by Marialy Rivas (Young & Wild, Perry Mason, Princesita) and produced by Natasha Romaniuk. BBC Studios are the international distributors.
