Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is going to be a regular on ESPN over the coming football season.
Belichick has inked deals with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions to host a new show on ESPN called The Breakdown, and will appear on the Monday Night Football “Manningcast” on ESPN2 during the first half of the game; And in a deal with The Pat McAfee Show, Belichick will appear every Monday to talk about that week’s games.
The Breakdown, which Belichick will host alongside Manning, will see the coach and former quarterback explore the matchup in that week’s Monday Night Football. The 30-minute show will debut on Fridays beginning Sept. 6, with episodes set to run before the 11 weeks that ESPN2 will have a Manningcast. Episodes will run on ESPN2 and ESPN+, with excerpts running on other ESPN programming.
Belichick made his Pat McAfee debut during its annual Draft Spectacular, and will appear every week during the season.
The former coach has become a media regular since leaving the Patriots. He will co-host a SiriusXM series, and will also appear each week on The CW’s Inside the NFL.
